Top Thrifts of 2011

Happy New Year, everyone!  As a way to bid farewell to 2011 and to welcome 2012, I thought it would be fun to assemble a collection of my favorite thrifted items from 2011.  Some of these pieces are classics, while others are undeniably unique.  But in every case, these cast-off clothes are welcome additions to my closet.

In no particular order, here are some of my top finds from this year:

1. Teal Silk Blouse. $5
2. Laundry by Shelli Segal Leather Skirt. $10
(original post here)

 3. J. Crew Striped Sweater. $5
(original post here)

4. LOFT brown dress. $15
(original post here)

5. Talbots Bamboo Print Linen Skirt. $5
(original post here)

6. Ann Taylor Sheer Navy Polka Dot Blouse. $5
(original post here)

7. Brooks Brothers Lace Pencil Skirt. $15

8. Charles Nolan Purple Wool Skirt. $2
9. Michael by Michael Kors Booties. $3

10. Elie Tahari Crushed Velvet Jacket. $10?

11.  Burberry Ruffled Placket Sweater. $5

Here's hoping that 2012 yields as many thrift stores treasures as 2011 did.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some printed wrap dresses, as well as button-down dress shirts.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks, Lisa! This skirt has been such a workhorse for me. It doesn't make many appearances on the blog, but I wear it at least once a month!

Thanks so much, Applesandpencilskirts. I love that skirt as well, though I must admit that I didn't wear it as frequently in 2011 as I would have liked. Once the warmer weather returns, it'll be one of the first things I wear.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks, Sayaka! My favorite part of the blouse is that it's slightly sheer. It gives the blouse a sense of movement, which is perfect for the warmer months.

Thanks for your comment, Serene! I was so lucky to stumble across that skirt. I almost left it on the hanger, out of fear that it wouldn't mesh with my style. So glad I decided to take it, after all.
