This One's a Keeper

Hi friends!

After a much too short vacation in California, I'm now back in New Jersey.  Although it's good to return to my daily routine, I miss my family as well as the sunshine and the warmth.  There is something so wonderful about having the flexibility to take long walks at will, in 72 degree weather.  But alas -- all good things must come to an end, right?

When BF picked me up from the airport, it was 1:00 AM and I was bone tired.  He knew I'd cleared out my fridge prior to leaving for CA, so he'd gone to the grocery store for me while I was away.  He picked up all of my favorite staples, as well as a few treats:

Favorite staples:
Skim milk
Whole wheat English muffins
Greek yogurt
Mandarin orange seltzer

Special treats:
Applegate Farms turkey bologna (yum! A not-quite-so guilty pleasure)
White chocolate macadamia Luna bar
Triple cream bleu cheese
Focaccia

Yep, he's a keeper -- I think I'll hang on to him for a while!

  2. I'm loving the faux fur collar sweater! It looks so warm and cozy!!!

That's so thoughtful of your bf to pickup all your favorite treats. There's nothing worse than coming home from a long trip to an empty fridge!!!

Thanks, Kelly! The collar IS incredibly warm and cozy. I was tempted to keep touching it all day, because it was so soft!
And I agree that having an empty fridge is awful! I was dreading the thought of having to scare up something to eat using the scant contents of my cupboards.

Thanks, Jess! This skirt was one of my favorite birthday presents. There is metallic thread woven into the pattern, which gives it a little something special.

And your comment on blue cheese made me laugh. For me, blue cheese was definitely an acquired taste. I used to despise it, but for some reason it has definitely grown on me lately. Weird!

  5. I think I have an issue getting past whati is. I am super paranoid of moldy things (like bread and regular cheese) so my brain just goes heck no! But I love cheese and yogurt...stupid brain :p
