Everybody, Everywear: Sequins and Sparkles

As I'm sure many of you are aware, the most recent challenge on Everybody, Everywear was "Sequins and Sparkles."  I considered breaking out my Prince jacket for the occasion but decided to choose items with a little less bling, such as this H&M tank and a bejeweled cardigan.  I was headed to work, after all...

H&M sequined tank. Thrifted for $6 (similar effect for $34)
Lord & Taylor embellished cardigan. Retail: $94. Sale: $22 (similar for $18)
Urban Outfitters Cooperative colorblock skirt. Retail: $59. Sale: $20 (similar, for those sitting on a pot of gold. similar style, different colors)
Banana Republic squiggle necklace. Retail: $40ish. Sale: $17
AK Anne Klein boots. Gifted

  1. I LOVE this outfit! The simplicity of the colors is so striking given the fact that there's a lot of details and visual interest in the outfit.

The colors of your skirt remind me of one of my favorite Kate Spade skirts:

Hi Jamie--great outfit as always! The color block skirt is amazing (not to mention the price tag!) and the embellished cardigan is the perfect compliment to it.

I've given you a blog award here on my blog! Thanks for the thrifty yet stylish inspirations on your blog!

Thanks so much, JG! I completely agree that the neutral colors help to keep this outfit from feeling like there is too much going on!

Isn't the price great? The skirt was marked at $29.99, but I was surprised to find it marked down even further when I got to the register. hooray!

Thanks so much, Applesandpencilskirts. You are so sweet to think of me for this award!

And isn't the price on this skirt great? I also had store credit at UO, so I didn't pay anything out of pocket. That's the best kind of purchase!

Kelly, thanks so much for the Liebster Blog Award -- such a fun surprise! And aren't sequins perfect around this time? I just received a teal velvet jacket with a sequined collar -- I think it's gonna make its way into my Christmas outfit!

Thanks, Lisa! I had no clue that J. Crew made a similar version. I will have to scope it out!

Thanks, Sayaka! Just two months ago, I didn't have any camel-colored skirts in my closet. And now I have two!
