Hi, friends! I had the pleasure of being nominated by two lovely ladies, ApplesandPencilSkirts and Kelly of Fashion Fuel for the Liebster Blog Award. How exciting! It's always such a treat to be complimented by blog friends, so I am very thankful to have been chosen.
The details of the award are as follows:
"Liebster means "dearest" in German. This award is given to bloggers with fewer than 200 followers.
The award has these stipulations:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your 5 blogger picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Hope that the people you have sent the award to will forward it to their favorite bloggers."
And here are a few of the fantastic blogs that I'd like to "tag" for this award:
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving was just a few short weeks ago. Yet, despite all the many reasons to be thankful, I have found myself caught up in the hustle and bustle -- the general busy-ness -- of this time of year.
This time tomorrow, I'll be on a plane to visit my family in California. I'm very much looking forward to the trip (so lucky that my family lives in a warm place!), though I must admit that I've been feeling stressed by the sheer number of things that need to be accomplished before the holidays. Yesterday, I left the office fairly late, tackled the long commute, and raced to run a few errands before the stores closed at 11:00 pm. I often run errands late at night, but I was feeling anxious and rushed last night. Worried about hitting all the stores before closing time, I phoned the BF to ask if he would be willing to stop at the liquor store to pick up a bottle of wine. He was willing to drop what he was doing to help me, and even went one step further: not only did he pick out a great bottle of wine, but he also remembered to grab a gift bag for the wine. Without my having to ask, he had thought of everything. It was a little favor on his part, but it left me filled with gratitude and relief.
What has left you feeling thankful these past few days?

All of those pops of red look beautiful Jamie! I hope you have a safe and restful holiday time with your loved ones! It is definitely going to be a warm CA Christmas this year--the temp in my area is forecasted to be 64 degrees. ReplyDeleteAwwww you are so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck packing & getting everything ready for your trip. Enjoy your time with your family. Merry Christmas!! :)
I still can't believe the holiday season will be here and will be gone soon. I love your outfit. That skirt is so pretty and I can't believe the price!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a positively pretty outfit! The photos in color actually remind me of black and white pictures that have accented the red. I did a double take to see if you had edited them, and I was wrong!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you SO much for the award! What an honor. How in the world does your own blog not have more than 200 followers?! I think your blog is well written and you're always looking stylish.
Have a great time on your trip and Merry Christmas!
The details of this outfit are so cute! I love the toggle coat and the little satchel bag. Very classic and chic!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the holidays are here, either! Crazy!! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteI have had a really difficult year, and I am soooo thankful for my friends and family as they got me through it. I'm so lucky to have such supportive and loving people in my life :-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Enjoy your visit with your family!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kelly! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas, as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment, Stefanie. This time of year really does seem like the perfect time to spend time with and appreciate those who have helped us through the year. I had a bit of a trying year as well, and I would have been a mess (or even more of a mess) without my friends and family. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela! I hope you had a wonderful, joyous Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jess! I too love the toggles on this coat - they make it so fun! Hope you had a great holiday.
ReplyDeleteHannah, you always leave me the sweetest comments. Thank you SO much! And I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Jenn! This skirt has been sitting in my closet for an entire year, with me just waiting for the perfect chance to wear it. It seems like a distinctively dressy skirt, but I thought I could make it a bit more daytime appropriate by pairing it with a relaxed swseater.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Victoria! I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I have indeed been enjoying the wonderful weather. In fact, I think I may have gotten a bit sunburned while walking yesterday! Apparently, it will be 80 degrees here later this week.
