Speaking of knock-offs, doesn't this Steve Madden Brizza satchel remind you of the Alexa satchel from Mulberry?
I love the shape, size, and ease of the Alexa bag. But the price point is absolutely over my budget...by approximately $1000. I stumbled across a similar bag from Steve Madden while browsing TJ Maxx a few weeks ago. The Brizza satchel has the top handle, crossbody strap, gold-toned hardware, and slouchy silhouette that are reminiscient of the Alexa. Although the material is faux leather and the hardware is on the chintzy side, the quality is reasonable for the $35 price. Until I happen upon a Mulberry bag at the thrift store (fat chance!), this will just have to do. I can't seem to find this bag online, but if you're interested, TJ Maxx may still have a few.
Thanks for reading!
I prefer the term, "inspired by"....ha!!! That skirt is so chic. It's looks like the quintessential fall piece.
ReplyDeleteI saw her post when she wore that outfit and swooned for it too!
ReplyDeleteYou look great as always Jamie!!!!
P.S. Great find with the bag!!!
I love that striped top, and the color of that bag is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! Definitely a good alternative to the Alexa!!!
ReplyDeleteYou always have such great finds from thrift stores, I wouldn't be surprised if you did happen upon a Mulberry or Chanel one of these days!
I would LOVE to stumble across a Mulberry or Chanel handbag at a thrift store. Wouldn't that be the ultimate find?! My BF's mom just found a few thrift stores that tend to carry higher-end thrift items, so hopefully I'll be in luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tara! For a while I considered this bright yellow bag a "summer only" item. But with the recent dreary weather , the neon color has been much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI agree that this skirt is perfect for the fall. I bought it in October and I've worn it every week since buying it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Eleanor! I think Kristina's sweater works better with this skirt, since her kelly green and navy stripes offer more contrast than the light blue and light green in my sweater. But I appreciated the chance to make use of my own sweater, which has been undeservedly neglected in my closet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute skirt! And I love that bag, it does look like the Alexa.
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt and pairing it's so simple yet classy! I also love your bag!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in the sweater are great with the pop of yellow - love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica! This skirt has quickly become one of my go-to pieces. So happy with the purchase!
ReplyDeleteThanks,Tricia. I love easy it is to assemble outfits with this skirt. It really is a versatile piece!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristin! I too liked the mix of colors in this outfit. Next time I think I'll try wearing this sweater with some red pumps
